Kinderland Jakarta celebrated 20 glorious years of excellence in early childhood education on 14 March 2015 at the National Museum of Indonesia in Jakarta. The theme was “Colours and Rhythms of Indonesia”, honouring the rich culture and heritage of Indonesia. 5 Kinderland centres came together and displayed art work by K1 & K2 children in the state of art Exhibition Hall in the museum. The art work and displays represented 5 different islands of Indonesia; Java, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Bali. It was magnificient! The children also enchanted the audience with dance and music performances from our CMC (Children’s Music Course) Program. This program is a 2 year music course from age 4 – 6 years which is formulated by the Yamaha Music School and unique to Kinderland. 300 children and 700 parents attended this grand event.
Our chief guest, Drs. M. Nuch Rahardjo MUP from the Education Ministry, Mr. Hendro Martowardojo from PT. Rain and Mr. Seet Lee Kiang, DR. Carol Loy and Ms. Susan Tan from Kinderland Singapore graced the occasion. The gamelan orchestra added a wonderful traditional touch to the event. Kinderland donated a Gerobak Pintar (Library on wheel for underprivileged children) to the Museum as part of our charity project. A bazaar was set up outdoors for parents and children to enjoy and the museum was open for viewing as well. It was fun doing a live painting with music to add to the festivities. A special thanks to the museum curator, Ibu Intan for the opportunity to celebrate our event in the beautiful museum. We would like to thank parents from all Kinderland centers for their enthusiastic participation, and our Sponsors; Kinderland Singapore, 3S Partnership, PT. Natamas Plast, PT.
