When we think about creativity in early childhood, crayons, paint, music, and building blocks usually come to mind. However, in today\u2019s digital world, there is another powerful tool for creative expression\u2014coding<\/em>. While coding<\/em> may be perceived as too advanced for young children, it encompasses more than the use of computers. Indeed, it is a new language of creativity, problem-solving, and imagination that can begin as early as the preschool years.<\/p>\n

In Kinderland, children from as young as Nursery class will learn to use pre-coding concepts like sequencing and problem-solving through hands-on play. By learning to instruct little robots to move along a path, the children have to think and devise solutions. Coding sparks creativity – just as children use crayons to draw, they can use coding to make ideas come alive by creating a short story or designing a simple game.<\/p>\n
