Kinderland’s STREAM programme is an exciting addition to its core curriculum. STREAM integrates Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, encouraging children to explore ideas through hands-on, project-based learning. These activities nurture curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration while helping young learners understand the world around them.
Across all levels, children participated in engaging STREAM projects designed to suit their age and developmental stage.
Our Pre-Nursery children explored a topic on water. With guidance from their teachers, they created a Water Wall using tubes, funnels and containers. As they poured and watched water flow through different pathways, they discovered interesting properties of water and its movement. This activity strengthened observation, fine motor skills and early scientific thinking. It was also fun for students.
The Nursery children explored creativity by planning and preparing indoor table games. Designing and playing these games encouraged them to think creatively, follow rules and take turns with friends. The activity also supported early mathematical thinking, communication and social skills.
The K1 students learned about simple machines. After brainstorming ideas together, they designed and built a car ramp using recycled materials. They enjoyed testing their ramps with toy cars and observing how their ramp design affected movement. This project sparked further thinking as children began discussing ideas like creating parking spaces, encouraging problem-solving and engineering skills.
The K2 students explored the life cycle of a chick. Eggs were placed in an incubator and carefully monitored during the 21-day growth cycle until the chicks hatched. The children then cared for the chicks for four weeks, learning responsibility, empathy and valuable life science concepts.
These STREAM activities helped develop curiosity, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving skills and confidence. At Kinderland, we turn simple explorations into meaningful discoveries, making learning both exciting and memorable for every child.
