This year’s Kinderland Preschool @ Pulomas’ Book Week was a joyful celebration of imagination, creativity, and the wonder of reading. From colourful costumes to lively storytelling sessions, the event brought books to life and helped young learners to build a deeper love for reading.

A Week Filled With Stories and Smiles

Throughout the week, classrooms transformed into vibrant story corners. Teachers read beloved classics and exciting stories, encouraging children to explore different worlds—jungles, oceans, outer space, and even fairy-tale kingdoms.

Parents played the role of a storyteller while class-mums worked together on the book selection and props preparation.

Costume Day: Characters Come Alive

One of the biggest highlights was the Costume Day, where our children from Pre-Nursery One to Kindergarten Two levels came dressed as their favourite book character. The school was filled with tiny superheroes, princesses, animals, and imaginative characters. Laughter and excitement filled the air as children proudly showed off their outfits and shared the stories behind their chosen characters. Another heartwarming highlight of this year’s Book Week was the Happy Tots parent-child dress-up day. Families arrived in matching costumes inspired by their favourite storybook characters.

Building a Love for Reading at an Early Age

Our Book Week served as a valuable reminder of the importance of early literacy. When children are exposed to books at a young age, they develop stronger language skills, richer imaginations, and a lifelong curiosity for learning. The event also encouraged families to spend more time reading together at home.

Our Book Week event goes beyond celebrating stories—it created memories, strengthened community bonds, and nurtured a generation of young readers ready to explore the world one page at a time.
