Kinderland in Jakarta marked its 30th anniversary with a warm and culturally rich celebration that placed young learners at the centre of the occasion. Since its establishment in 1995, Kinderland has supported the development of more than 10,000 children in Jakarta through its holistic, music-infused bilingual curriculum — an approach that blends Singapore’s educational strengths with Indonesia’s cultural heritage. Today, Kinderland has grown to become the largest Singapore preschool brand in Jakarta, recognised for its strong curriculum, trusted reputation, and long-standing community presence.

From its humble beginnings as a single centre, Kinderland has grown into one of Jakarta’s most established preschool networks. Over the past three decades, Kinderland has continually strengthened its academic programmes and integrated best practices across our centres. These sustained efforts enabled us to expand our footprint and cultivate a committed community of educators and families. This steady and consistent growth reflects Indonesia’s increasing demand for high-quality early childhood education — an encouraging sign for investors and organisations exploring opportunities within this resilient and expanding sector.

The anniversary celebration opened with Kinderland students confidently presenting as emcees in traditional Indonesian attire, demonstrating the school’s emphasis on communication skills and character formation. Guests were treated to a series of cultural performances featuring traditional music, dance, and drama, highlighting both the children’s creativity and Indonesia’s rich heritage.

Mrs Suparno giving a heartwarming speech on Kinderland’s 30-year journey in Jakarta

Reflecting on Kinderland’s three-decade journey, Mrs Suparno shared a deeply heartfelt message: “Thirty years in Kinderland — since 1994 — and what an extraordinary journey it has been. What makes Kinderland truly special are the joyful faces of our children, the trust of devoted parents, and the dedication of teachers and principals who have always worked as one united family. Together we have supported one another, grown through challenges, and celebrated every milestone with love and purpose. Even after three decades, the smiles within our community continue to tell the story of how we have grown, how we have been loved, and how we will continue to share that love. Kinderland, let us grow together.”

The celebration concluded with a tribute to Kinderland’s dedicated team of educators, whose commitment has shaped the school’s 30-year journey. Filled with music, tradition, and the joy of its young learners, the occasion highlighted Kinderland’s mission to nurture confident, compassionate children prepared for the future.

As Kinderland marks this meaningful milestone, it continues to welcome collaboration with like-minded partners who are keen to explore Indonesia’s promising education landscape — one that offers both growth potential and the opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives.
