At Kinderland Preschool @ Sunrise Garden, Kindergarten One (K1) and Two (K2) children organized a charity bazaar during Christmas, selling their artwork to parents to raise funds. The funds raised were donated to Gerobak Pintar on 13 March 2025. Gerobak Pintar is a mobile library that fosters a love for reading among underprivileged children through literacy activities and storytelling sessions.

During the fundraising phase, the children worked together to create art pieces for sale. At the charity bazaar, they proudly explained their designs to the parents, experiencing a sense of accomplishment when their pieces were purchased. Beyond the event itself, the true value lies in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit in the children, while contributing to the community.

Introducing entrepreneurship in preschool helps instil an entrepreneurial mindset from an early age. Entrepreneurial skills are not just for starting a business—they are valuable life skills that unlock a child’s potential as a future contributor to society.

Little Entrepreneurs in Action

In the “Little Entrepreneurs Art Sale” project, K1 and K2 students proudly sold 78 pieces of their own artwork, raising Rp 4,000,000 to support R Petra Kedoya Utara. More than just an art sale, this event gave the children a chance to learn about kindness, generosity, and the joy of helping others. They practiced real-life math skills while understanding the value of money and the importance of giving. The students beamed with pride, feeling grown-up and accomplished as they made a meaningful difference in their community through their creativity and teamwork.
