Music truly does make the world go around. At Kinderland Preschool @ Sunrise Garden, this belief is woven into the very fabric of our curriculum. We are proud to integrate our unique Kinderland Children’s Music Programme (CMP) into our school syllabus, where children as young as one and a half years old are introduced to the joys of music.
Through CMP, children are introduced to a variety of instruments, including the keyboard, pianica, and drums, as well as local traditional instruments like the Angklung. This rich musical exposure not only cultivates a love for music but also plays a key role in supporting brain and cognitive development in young learners. Kindergarten One (K1) and Kindergarten Two (K2) children also engage in an additional Music and Movement programme (MMP) for a whole-body, rhythmic and interactive immersion with music.

On 24 May 2025, Kinderland Preschool @ Sunrise Garden took a giant leap by presenting a stunning musical drama, ”Peter Pan”. The children brought the beloved story to life by playing key roles such as Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, and Captain Hook, while singing songs and performing live with various musical instruments. This was the school’s first endeavour in staging a full musical production and it was nothing short of mesmerizing.

K2 students illuminate the stage with their torch performance
Our children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They gained much confidence performing on stage in front of so many parents, as they swayed and performed on their instruments in harmony and with ease. The children also learned to collaborate in a full-scale musical production, honed their teamwork, and developed keen listening skills. It was a celebration of creativity, expression, and musical growth.

Through these enriching experiences, we affirm that music is not just an activity—it is a vital part of a child’s development. Indeed, music truly makes the world go around.
