In celebration of our shared responsibility to protect the environment, Kinderland Preschool @ Bonavista recently organized a series of meaningful activities. All students, from Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten Two (K2), actively participated in age-appropriate initiatives designed to foster environmental awareness and concern.

The younger children, from Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten One (K1), engaged in planting activities. With the guidance of their teachers, the children learned about the importance of plants in sustaining life. Even simple actions, like watering and caring for plants, contribute to a greener planet. These hands-on experiences helped nurture a sense of connection to nature and understanding their role in caring for it.

Children gathered and recycled the dry leaves

Meanwhile, the K2 students embraced the responsibility of promoting the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Through engaging classroom discussions and activities, they learned how to manage waste and minimise their environmental impact. In addition, they created vibrant and meaningful posters to raise awareness about the importance of caring for Mother Earth.

A serious “car” modeling activity using recycled materials!

These activities reflect Kinderland commitment to instilling lifelong values of environmental stewardship in young learners. By involving students in such purposeful experiences, the school encourages children to develop empathy for the planet and take proactive steps to protect it.

An impactful way to share the message to “Save the Trees”.
