Twenty-three years ago, Kinderland International Education’ (KES) first and longest partnership began when Mrs. Suparno was unable to find a suitable kindergarten in Jakarta for her son, Jonathan. After searching across the region for a reputable school brand, in 1994 Mrs. Suparno and her husband, Dr. Suparno Adijanto, founded Indonesia’s first Kinderland centre in South Jakarta.
Today, Mrs. Suparno oversees two internationally accredited primary and secondary schools and six Kinderland preschools. Wherever they are in Indonesia, the Kinderland name has become synonymous with world class early childhood education and care. Our team of dedicated principals and teachers have nurtured more than 4,000 young learners across Indonesia since 1994. Despite these accomplishments, the team refuses to rest on their laurels. Every year they work and collaborate with KES to improve their curriculum and standard of care to provide the best possible quality of education to young children in Indonesia.
Now, Kinderland Preschools Indonesia is looking at expansion. In recent years, Indonesia ranked top in economic performance amongst other Southeast Asian nations. There has been a strong boost in the middle-income segment, which makes up more than 50 million out of the 240 million Indonesians. As more families become affluent, they search for quality education for their little ones.
With this in mind KES and the Suparnos signed a joint venture agreement on 11th February, taking its partnership to the next level. In Indonesia, Kinderland plans to expand by 10 new centres over the next five years. By leveraging the combined strengths and expertise of both parties, we will be able to expand and provide greater access to quality preschool education in Indonesia.
Dr. Adijanto Suparno, Founding Director of PT Bumi Raya Putera said “ We have had the pleasure of working with Kinderland for the past twenty years. Our long standing relationship was, and continues to be, built on shared values and a passion for excellence in education. Together, we will continue to impact future generations of children – preparing them to become caring, creative, and confident contributors to society. The newly formed joint venture will position Kinderland to expand – bringing our quality education to children throughout Indonesia.”
“My heart is in bringing out the potential within each generation of young Indonesians. Dr. Suparno and I look forward to meeting likeminded educators who will join us in our mission.” added Mrs Suparno
Kinderland Preschool has an extensive preschool network of over sixty centres across the region – present in Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, China, Indonesia, and Bangladesh.
