Parent’s Testimonials

This Situation was Fun & Challenging!

Kinderland BV School is like a second home for my son. That place always brings a lot of happiness and joy. This time is the new school year, my son is getting ready to K1. I imagined how his first day would go: Wearing a uniform, Warm chats, and Good-bye kisses before I drove him to the class. However, since the government said to stay at home due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the school has closed and implemented an e-learning program in the learning process.

E-learning is a new concept for me to get used to, I was wondering how do I make this work. As a parent managing time between housework & school time is quite a struggle, I try to enjoy every process to guide and accompany my son to learn and do assignments from the teacher. Through this program I learned many things, I learned to be creative and more understand that my son is smarter than I thought. During an e-learning class, while Ms. serves as a virtual instructor of the subject matter, I should know when to lean in and lean out of a particular e-learning environment. I should offer facilitative support to the learning structure, and help my son achieve his lesson goals.

My son’s teachers, Ms. Izul & Ms. Meita been very helpful in this e-learning program. Starting from preparing worksheets, extra worksheets, and art n craft materials. There were also materials in recorded video for the kids. Then, one day before the learning class Ms. always send a schedule of activities for the next day in our group chat. I appreciate the efforts of Ms. to ensure comfort and understanding of parents in assisting the kids to study at home. Thank that Ms. has worked hard to make the kids learn and connect every e-learning class.

Although I enjoyed the process with my son. However, learning in school with teachers and friends is the most ideal for him to get. I hope this virus will be gone soon, so all activities and everything else can go back to normal again :)

Stay Safe & Always Happy

Day by day, and now in August, I can proudly say that the overall experience has been good. And I am sure it will be continuously good. My daughter is now adapting well to the change, she even asking for zoom class on weekend. The support of the teachers has been outstanding, they always try to get the students interested. Teachers have made presentations of their subjects as well, giving their best to provide videos, pictures, songs, any media to support the learning. They are willing to try new things and help my child grow and learn at her own pace.

School itself is also very supportive. The design of the curriculum has been adjusted to a new level. They try to give the best service to the parents. They also value and respect my input as a parent.

Otherwise, there will be no perfectness in everything. Sometimes we face the problem of weak internet connection that might make a delay on the teacher’s instruction. Or sometimes we can’t hear the music very well when presented. A technical problem I might say, and it does not affect so much on the learning.

And I am glad Kinderland Bonavista give my daughter and us such an excellent learning journey. Thank you, Kinderland!
