Located in the heart of Kertajaya, Sukolilo-conveniently positioned between Galaxy Mall and Pakuwon City, Kinderland Preschool @ Surabaya provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 12 months to 6 years. Established in 2011, Kinderland Preschool @ Surabaya is part of the Kinderland International Education network and is committed to providing quality bilingual (English/Mandarin) early childhood education through a holistic, child-centred approach.
Stemming from a renowned music-infused curriculum, our preschool programmes combine meaningful learning experiences with language, mathematics, science, music and movement, arts and crafts, and hands-on exploration. Children are encouraged to discover, communicate, collaborate, solve problems and develop independence through purposeful play and guided learning.
Toddler and Pre-Nursery
(12 months to 3 years)
Providing a safe environment that encourages early communication and developing foundational skills to increase independence in your little one – gearing them for preschool.
Interactive play, rhymes and songs build early English and Mandarin language skills while developing gross and fine motor coordination. Through sensory and music-rich experiences, toddlers learn to communicate, coordinate their movements and express themselves with growing confidence.
Children develop independence, problem-solving and social confidence through purposeful, age-appropriate play in a nurturing environment. Through guided interactions and everyday experiences, toddlers learn to make choices, engage with others and develop positive behaviours that build the foundations for character and social-emotional growth.
Guided music-infused learning introduces core concepts in language, simple math and creativity, supporting children’s cognitive development through listening, thinking, expression and problem-solving. These varied experiences engage multiple brain networks, helping to strengthen connections that support learning, memory and attention.
Nursery & Kindergarten 1–2
(4 to 6 Years)
Fostering academic excellence, managing physical health and striving towards musical mastery in preparing our children for primary school.
Professionally guided music lessons introduce children to keyboard playing, solfège singing, pitch awareness and music notation, building musical confidence while encouraging self-expression and creativity. Through listening, singing and rhythm, children learn to recognise sounds, rhymes and patterns that support early reading skills. Rhythm, counting and musical patterns also reinforce early math concepts such as sequencing, counting and pattern recognition.
Structured language learning through Writing To Read (WTR) and Kinderland’s I Know Phonics (KIKP) builds strong foundations in reading and writing. Through phonics, vocabulary building, reading and writing experiences, children develop stronger comprehension and learn to communicate their ideas clearly and confidently in both spoken and written English.
Immersive Mandarin learning builds practical vocabulary, listening and communication skills while deepening cultural appreciation. Through meaningful and engaging language experiences, children develop a natural interest in Mandarin and the confidence to understand, speak and use the language in everyday situations.
Based on the American cardiovascular fitness programme Feelin’ Good, this in-house curated physical fitness programme supports children’s holistic health and wellness. Through structured wellness programme, children develop cardiovascular fitness, bodily coordination and healthy habits from an early age.
An essential 21st-century skill, coding helps prepare our young children for this technology-reliant era. Coding builds children’s computational thinking, patterning ability, critical thinking and reasoning skills while encouraging innovation and creativity. It also supports them in becoming effective communicators, helping them to become confident and independent future-ready learners.
Our programmes stirs curiosity, cultivates care, expands capability, promotes creativity, builds confidence and above all, sharpens communication as core competencies in our children. Through integrating languages, mathematics, science, and collaborative projects, our children are prepared socially and academically for primary school.
