Kinderland Preschool @ Sunrise Garden ushered in ‘The Year of the Rabbit’ on January 27th, 2023. The occasion was celebrated with a special assembly where all teachers, parents and children came dressed in traditional red attire at the assembly area.

Our Kindergarteners were the Masters of Ceremony for the day’s celebration. They conducted the assembly in Mandarin and amazed the audience with their confidence and fluency in spoken Mandarin. There were song, dance and Wushu performances. All the children from pre-nursery to kindergarten two had the opportunity to perform.

Chinese New Year celebrations are incomplete without the traditional ‘Barong Sai dance’ – the lion dance. Our children were very fortunate to enjoy the traditional ‘Barong Sai dance’ by our very own Kinderland alumni boys who were now studying at Ichthus West Secondary School.

After the performance, teachers gave the children traditional red packets with chocolates while the children greeted one another with oranges and exchanges Chinese New Year well wishes of good luck, happiness and prosperity.
