The first day of school is always a special and exciting milestone for our young learners. It marks the beginning of a new journey filled with new experiences, friendships and opportunities to learn and grow.

Stepping into a new classroom can bring a mix of emotions, including excitement, curiosity and perhaps a little nervousness. For some children, saying goodbye to their parents can also be challenging. These feelings are perfectly normal. With the gentle support and reassurance of their parents and teachers, children can gradually become more comfortable and confident as they settle into their new environment.

The first day also provides a wonderful opportunity for children to meet their teachers and make new friends. Children from pre-nursery one (PN1) to Kindergarten Two (K2 gathered in the assembly hall, where they were introduced to their teachers across the different levels.

Parents also had the opportunity to visit their children’s classrooms and meet their children’s new class teachers. They also learnt more about the curriculum, timetable and activities their children can look forward to in the new academic year.

Back in the classroom, the children began getting to know one another, sharing toys, playing together and taking part in group activities. These everyday interactions help children develop important social skills, including sharing, taking turns, communicating and caring for others.

As the days go by, we look forward to seeing our young learners become increasingly independent and confident, and excited about coming to school each morning. Through new experiences and friendships, we will nurture our children to develop important  skills, achieve more and create happy memories with their teachers and classmates.

May the new school year be filled with laughter, friendship, discovery and many memorable moments. We are delighted to begin this exciting journey with our children and families.
