Kinderland Preschool @ Pakubuwono celebrated the end of its academic year with a performance, “A Musical Drama of Timun Mas”. The celebration brought together children, parents, teachers, and families for a performance inspired by the beloved Indonesian folktale. Children wore colourful costumes that transformed the stage into the magical world of Timun Mas. Several parents also joined the performance, making the celebration even more meaningful.
The story unfolded seamlessly as each class performed its part in the production. K1 and K2 children confidently led several dance performances, guiding and performing alongside our pre-nursery children. Their collaboration reflected the children’s teamwork, leadership, and care for one another. Many children also showcased their ability to memorise and deliver their scripts with expression and confidence. Through acting, singing, and dancing, they had opportunities to develop their creativity, confidence, communication skills and stage presence. The programme also featured performances by children participating in our After-School Activities, including Ballet, JACPA Gymnastics, Music ASA and Taekwondo, showcasing their interests and learning beyond the classroom.
The celebration also strengthened the partnership between home and school through meaningful family participation. Apart from being a showcase of the children’s talents, the event also reflected Kinderland’s commitment to providing holistic learning experiences that encourage children to express themselves, work together and build confidence. Through this performance, the children celebrated perseverance, creativity and a love of learning while bringing a much-loved Indonesian folktale to life.
As the academic year comes to a close, the celebration marked another memorable year for Kinderland Preschool @ Pakubuwono. Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome our children to a new, spacious school building in the new academic year, providing an environment where they can continue to learn, explore and grow together.
