United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the official establishment of the United Nations on October 24, 1945. Each year, Kinderland Jakarta centres commemorate this significant day by creating opportunities for our children to learn and explore diverse cultures and traditions. This year our students from Kinderland Preschool @ Pondok Indah passionately and enthusiastically celebrated our rich cultural diversity and global unity.

The day’s programme started with vibrant performances from the younger students from Playgroup, Pre-Nursery, and Nursery. They adorned themselves in splendid costumes representing various nations and performed in harmony to international songs like ‘So Many Colors, So Many Shapes’ and ‘Wavin’ Flag’.

This was followed by a delightful fashion parade starring our K1 and K2 students. Dressed in creative and colourful costumes, the children used their imagination to depict diverse cultures with different bodily gestures and poses on stage.

Our ever-supportive parents also added to the cheer of the occasion. Mums and Dads generously volunteered their time and effort to set up cultural showcases of six countries within the school premises – Sweden, Netherlands, India, Japan, Solomon Islands, and Australia – to share the richness of their cultures and enhance our children’s learning experience.

Everyone contributed to the collective celebration of our world’s diversity, and in turn, was enriched by the powerful experience of celebrating cultures.
