Kinderland Preschool @ Bonavista’s “Coins for a Cause” project was a heartwarming journey that nurtured both learning and compassion in our Kindergarteners. What began as small coins lovingly brought from home blossomed into a meaningful experience that taught our young learners the value of kindness and community. With the tremendous support of our parents, the children successfully collected a total of S$ 250 for our most recent project. This is an annual initiative to give back to our community.

Throughout the project, the children engaged in a series of hands-on activities. They began by counting and sorting the coins, which helped to strengthen both their numeracy skills and teamwork. A small group later visited the bank to exchange the collected coins for bank notes, offering them an authentic, real-world experience that deepened their understanding of giving. Another group went on a shopping trip to carefully select bags and stationery, thoughtfully considering the needs of children their own age.

The project culminated in an outreach visit to Mizan Amanah Orphanage in Karang Tengah. It was truly moving to see our children personally deliver the gifts and interact warmly with the 24 children there. Their sincerity and joy reflected the true spirit of giving. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all parents for your generosity and support. Together, we are helping our children understand that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
