It has been a fantastic year for the students at Kinderland Pakubuwono. They engaged in various learning activities and had a lot of fun. Our highlight feature for this term is the planting of fruits and vegetables in two different mediums – soil and water. The children planted tamarind seeds in pots filled with soil and monitored its growth. They were also introduced to the hydroponic system of planting. They planted various vegetables (water spinach, spinach, chilies, mint, onions and pakchoi). The children observed the growth in the hydroponic system and even harvested the vegetables. It was an amazing experience for the students and they realized that “we can actually grow our own food.”
